Tauplitz
Bad Mitterndorf
- a pleasant town with a thermal bath (Grimming Therme) at the foot of the Tauplitz Alm - a ski bus runs to the boarding station of the Mitterstein cabin or you can also drive along a steep toll road (toll included in the ski pass, mandatory chains when snowing)
- back to the city to the toll gate, a blue marked ski slope leads from the boarding station of the cabin, but it is very flat, especially at the finish
Lawinenstein
- The longest and most attractive descent leads from the top of Lawinenstein along the newly built Mitterstein cable car - the main track along the upper section of the cabin is wide, straight and very steep (black no. 27) with a light serpentine detour (blue no. 29)
- a wide clear red (No. 27) continues from the intermediate station, from which a steep black hang (No. 28) separates below, while the red continues briskly but with a narrowly larger curve, after connecting the two variants the track travels very slightly to the boarding station of the cabin
- Clear open terrain along the upper section of the Mitterstein cabin and further in the sparse forest below
- a wide, clear and slightly variable red track (No. 23) descends from Lawinenstein to the east along the covered 6-seater
- The connection at the top between the Mitterstein and Lawinenstein cable cars is provided by a ski lift and an endless rope
Schneiderkogel
- shorter, south-facing tracks fall from the top of the Schneiderkogel, served by a 4-seater - wide black (No. 16) rushes directly along the slope, zigzag red (No. 15) and blue (No. 17) separate from the ridge crossbeam.
- off-piste in sparse vegetation
Tauplitz Alm
- On Tauplitz Alm there is a mountain town with twenty hotels. restaurants, cottages and bars, spread across the plateau and connected only by ski slopes, cross-country trails, walking paths and scooter trails
- very short, one-mushroom red tracks run along the Lärchkogel and Grosssee lifts (No. 9, 10 and 12), which also serve when crossing from the upper station of the 4-seater Tauplitz further to the center of the complex
- there is a magical 360 ° view from the entire plateau - from the Dachstein to the Totes Gebirge
- cross-country trails are one of the most reliable in snow in Austria due to their altitude (around 1,650 m)

- The valley red piste (No. 1) to the village of Tauplitz is accessible from the main basin via a short lift and an endless rope - in the upper half it first drops slightly, then either falls straight (black) or traverses (red), and pleasantly descends to intermediate station of seats, the drive to the village is just a long flat traverse
